Synopsis: The Wolf
In the last years of the Tang Dynasty (late 9th century to early 10th century), a military governor and warlord named Zhu Wen happened to meet a boy raised by a wolf in the countryside. The warlord decided to adopt the boy, adopt him, and named him Zhu Youwen. Zhu Wen then launched a (ultimately successful) coup, usurped the Tang monarch and made himself the first emperor of the later Liang Dynasty (907-923). The new emperor appointed Zhu Youwen as the crown prince.
In court, Zhu Youwen established contact with the daughter of a government official, Ma Zhai Xing. Although Zhu Youwen enjoys a lofty status in the court, he has instilled a strong sense of justice in his days in the wild. He and Ma Zhaixing began to form a romantic bond. With her support, he plans to mitigate the unpopular and overly strict reforms of his adoptive father-and strives to thwart a series of despicable plans planned by his conspiracy brothers.
