Synopsis: The Enchanting Phantom
A timeless love story of a scholar who falls in love with a female spirit and tries to free her from eternal service to a demon. Scholar Ning Cai Chen goes to the capital to take the state exams. On the way, he spends the night in Lan Ruo Temple, where he meets and falls in love with Nie Xiao Qian, a spirit who seduces men to take up their life essence as an offering to Lao Lao. After much struggling, Ning Cai Chen and Nie Xiao Qian become a couple, but Lao Lao plans to marry Nie Xiao Qian to the Heishan Demon. In desperation, Ning Cai Chen enlists the help of demon hunter Yan Chi Xia.
