Dragon Prince is tasked with ending drought to save human lives. He falls in love with a young woman, but finds himself trapped in the ground for 500 years after disappearing with inverted dragon scales. Rivers and seas are drying up due to severe drought, and people are suffering. Ning Xiurui is the second prince of the Dragon clan. On his journey to land, he falls in love with a young girl from a fishing village and presents an inverted dragon scale as a sign of their unity.
