"Beyond Evil" tells the story of two brave men willing to go through a long time in search of a returning serial killer. During the revelation of the identities, the two killers were forced to look deeper than the evidence seemed to guide and question the innocence of all the people involved in the case, including themselves.

Shin Ha Kyun transforms into Lee Dong Sik, a once talented detective who has been downgraded to the tedious and boring job in the Mun Yang sub-station. Dong Sik starts a peaceful life when Detective Han Joo Won, played by Yeo Jin Goo, is moved to the same headquarters and becomes his boss. Joo Won is an elite detective whose father is a good candidate to become the next chief in the Royal Thai Police. However, under his admirable qualities and high social background, Joo Won has a long-kept secret with him.
